Attar & Perfume Oil Glass Bottles — Roll-On & Dropper

Empty attar and perfume oil bottles from 5 ml to 30 ml, with steel roller balls or glass droppers. Amber, clear and frosted glass. MOQ 3,000 pcs.

Perfume oil — attar, oud, ittar, alcohol-free fragrance oil — outsells spray perfume in Nigeria, the Gulf and much of North Africa, and it needs a different bottle: small capacity, a neck that takes a roller fitting or a dropper, and glass that protects the oil from light. We supply these from 5 ml to 30 ml in clear, amber and frosted glass, with steel roller balls, glass pipette droppers and metallic or wooden caps, screen-printed with your brand.

What is the difference between an attar bottle and a perfume spray bottle?

An attar bottle holds undiluted fragrance oil, so it has no pump and no crimp — it closes with a roller ball, a dropper or a screw cap, and the customer opens and recloses it every day. A spray bottle holds alcohol-diluted perfume and is usually crimped shut for tamper evidence. That one difference drives everything else: attar bottles are smaller, 3 to 30 ml rather than 30 to 100 ml; the neck must be a screw thread so the fitting can be removed and refilled; and the glass is often amber or coloured, because oil degrades under UV faster than an alcohol solution does. If you are moving a spray product into an oil format, the bottle is not a smaller version of the same thing — it is a different mould with a different neck.

Which capacity sells best — 3, 6, 12 or 30 ml?

In Nigeria and the Gulf the volume sellers are 6 ml and 12 ml for retail attar, 3 ml for sample and gift packs, and 30 ml for refill and premium lines. The 10 ml roll-on is the single most common size across West Africa because it hits a retail price point that competes with imported designer sprays. 15 ml is the usual step up for gift sets, and 5 ml is what brands use for wedding favours and promotional giveaways, which in Nigeria is a large and regular order category. We hold stock moulds from 5 ml to 30 ml; 3 ml, 6 ml and 12 ml are tooled to your drawing, which takes 15–20 days plus a one-time mould charge.

Roller ball or glass dropper — which closure fits my oil?

Roller balls suit thinner oils that the customer applies directly to skin, which is the standard for attar and alcohol-free perfume oil. Glass pipette droppers suit thicker oils, oud blends, and anything sold in a 30 ml bottle where the customer wants to control the dose. Steel roller balls are more durable and give a more even flow than plastic; plastic balls are cheaper and are what most low-cost imports use, but they can swell and seize with certain carrier oils. We supply steel balls as standard and plastic on request, and we test the ball against your oil sample before the bulk run, because fit tolerance is what causes leakage, not the bottle itself.

Why amber or coloured glass for perfume oil?

Perfume oil has no alcohol to stabilise it, so light accelerates oxidation and flattens the top notes within a few months on a sunlit shelf. Amber and cobalt glass filter most of the UV range and are the standard for anything with a shelf life over a year; clear glass is used only where the brand wants the oil colour visible and accepts a shorter shelf life. Frosting is decorative, not protective — a frosted clear bottle still lets UV through. If you need full protection with a clear look, the answer is a clear bottle plus an opaque outer box, not a frosted bottle.

Can you print the bottle and pack it as a gift set?

Yes. Silk-screen printing runs from one to four colours and is the cheapest option above 3,000 pcs; hot stamping in gold or silver suits metallic caps and premium lines; laser engraving gives a permanent mark that will not rub off in handling. We also supply the outer packaging — rigid boxes, tuck-top cartons, velvet or organza pouches — matched to the bottle, which matters for attar because gift presentation is a large part of what the customer is buying. Gift sets can be assembled at our end and shipped retail-ready, so your side only receives and sells.

How do I keep freight down on a small-capacity order?

Small bottles are light, so 5,000 pcs of 10 ml attar bottles is roughly one cubic metre — and one cubic metre is the minimum most forwarders bill for LCL. That is why mixed sizes from the same mould family combine to a 5,000 pcs total: going below it does not reduce the freight charge, it just spreads the same charge over fewer bottles and doubles the freight per unit. The practical first order is 5,000 pcs across two or three sizes and two colours, which fills the minimum volume and lets you test the market before committing to a full container.

Do you supply attar bottles to Nigeria and the Gulf?

Regularly. Nigeria is our largest market for this category — Lagos, Kano, Onitsha and Abuja — and the 150 ml import ceiling on glass bottles does not affect attar, because nothing in this range goes above 30 ml. We ship FOB Lianyungang with weekly sailings to Apapa and Tin Can, roughly 30–35 days transit, and quote CIF Lagos on request. For the Gulf we ship to Jebel Ali, the usual consolidation point for onward movement to Saudi Arabia, Oman and Kuwait. Documents for Nigerian customs — invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, SONCAP support — are prepared on our side.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for attar bottles?

3,000 pcs per size on moulds we already hold, and 10,000 pcs if a new mould has to be cut for a size we do not stock. Mixed sizes from the same mould family combine to a 5,000 pcs total, which is about one cubic metre — the minimum most forwarders bill for LCL — so the freight per bottle stays sensible.

Can I get roller balls and caps supplied with the bottles?

Yes. Steel or plastic roller balls, glass pipette droppers, and metallic, wooden or plastic caps are quoted with the bottle so you have one landed cost instead of three suppliers. We match the fitting to the neck finish and test it against your oil sample before the bulk run.

Do the bottles leak when filled with oil?

A roller bottle leaks when the ball does not seat properly in the neck, which is a tolerance issue rather than a bottle design issue. We check ball-to-neck fit on the production batch and send filled samples on request so you can test with your actual oil. Thin, low-viscosity oils are the ones that find a leak, so tell us the oil type at quoting stage.

Can you supply the outer box and pouch as well?

Yes — rigid boxes, tuck-top cartons, velvet and organza pouches, matched to the bottle size. Gift sets can be assembled and shrink-wrapped at our end and shipped retail-ready.

How long does shipping to Lagos take?

About 30–35 days sea transit from Lianyungang to Apapa or Tin Can, plus clearance. We ship FOB and can quote CIF Lagos. Because small-bottle orders are usually one to two cubic metres, most first orders go LCL rather than a full container.

Can you match the glass colour to my brand?

Stock colours are clear, amber and cobalt. Any other colour is done by spray coating rather than coloured glass, because coloured glass needs a furnace run of several tonnes. Coating has a minimum of 1,000 pcs per colour because the line is set up per colour.
